Weekly Menu idea's

It’s Monday and once again I find myself trying to plan my menu for the week. I do my grocery shopping on Monday evenings after work. It’s so hard for me to take the kids grocery shopping, so I try to run to the store before I pick them up at their Granny’s house. Here is my plan lately: Mon : Sandwich night Tues: Mexican night Wed: We grab fast food because we are rushed for church. Thurs: Fish night Fri: Pasta night Sat: Free night (whatever we feel like) Sun: My mom usually fixes us dinner    Yay!! With that being said, here is a look at this weeks simple menu. Working full time and being a mom and wife can be very taxing. The easier, the better is my philosophy! Monday: I usually do things like sloppy joes, blt’s, hamburgers, hot ham and cheese sandwhiches etc. It’s hot ham and cheese tonight! I make them on Hawaiian Rolls . Layer the ham & cheese (swiss or provolone) on the bun, spread butter and poppy seed dressing on them, stick them in the oven at 350 until they start to get toasty. Super Easy!!

Tuesday: Ever hear of Taco Tuesday??? My husband makes fun of me for always making tacos, so I have been trying to change it up. Going to try this recipe I found on pinterest  Fiesta Chicken Casserole: 2 cups chicken breast grilled & cubed, 2 cups medium shell pasta cooked, 2 cups cheddar/jack cheese blend, 1 can of cream of chicken soup, 1 can Rotel, 1 can green chilies, 1/2 cup of milk. Cover with cheese, salt and pepper to taste! Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

Wednesday : We usually go to good ole Chick-fil-A!!

Thursday: We like to have fish at least once a week, if not more! I will probably have fish sticks, mac & cheese, and broccoli for an easy, easy night!

Friday: Pasta!!! We are going to have whole-wheat angel hair pasta with shrimp and pesto sauce.

Saturday: This Saturday is date night!!! Tim is taking me on an overnight date and we will more than likely have Sushi!! We love Sushi! Shout out to my mom and sister-in-law for volunteering to keep my kids!!!

Sunday: My mom always provides a meal for all 15 of us. I appreciate this so much! I know it probably cost more than her grocery bill for the whole week for this meal! The kids love going to Mimi & Papa’s house. I cherish these times!

  1. There are also a number of additions that can go into a grilled cheese sandwich, like ham, tomato, herbs and spices, or sauces like ketchup or mustard. Some of these will go between the slices of bread before the grilling takes place, and some are sprinkled on the top or used as a dip. Many Canadians enjoy dipping their sandwiches in ketchup or applesauce, while people in the United States tend to prefer their sandwiches with tomato soup or French fries on the side."
